Tide Calculator

WX32.pngI just read an item in Sailworld about a tide calculator, Tidelines for mobile phones. It reminded me about the free tide calculator, wxtide32 (a better name would be good) which I run on my laptop. It’s free and works well. You can download it here.

    I have been using that software for about two years. It sometimes gives different times or higths to those in most recent tables. The differences are however insignificant.

    Yes, there will be variations between the theoretical time and height and the actual tide in a particular location. Nevertheless it’s a useful piece of software, although I wish its graphics design was a little more pleasing than the “programmers art” quality of the user interface :-) .
