Marmong Point

Situated at the northernmost bay, Cockle Bay, of Lake Macquarie this is a good spot to be in a southerly. A full service marina is situated here and there are convenient facilities ashore for a rainy day and a railway station within walking distance.

Marmong Point is dog friendly anchorage, with Edwards Park designated as an "off the lead" dog exercise area. The Lake Macquarie Art Gallery and Awaba House restaurants are situated here.

Pros: Convenient jetty, close to station, restaurants (Awaba House and a cafe at the marina).

Cons: Deep keel yachts need to take care, exposed from North East
